SUPERSPOUT LTD NOW MANUFACTURED BY IMPROVED PROCESS OCT 2010 On the back of having the parts for SuperSpout moulded to the highest standards by QPM, in Fife, part of the Glendale group, an ISO 9001 registered company, SuperSpout’s design team have been working with Remploy Ltd, at Remploy’s unit in South Gyle, Edinburgh, to establish a 7-sigma quality standard for the assembly of SuperSpout. In addition to the construction of an atmospheric and humidity controlled workstation and the provision of bespoke assembly tooling , Superspout’s design engineer and Remploy’s quality assurance team worked together with the assistance of an external quality engineer from the plastics industry to establish the new detailed assembly process and inspection regime.
This has ensured that not only are the highest standards met for the delivery of SuperSpout in quantity, but also that costs and assembly times have been reduced.
SuperSpout will be exhibiting their innovative pewter spout at the PSP Southampton Boat Show this year.
SuperSpout is a completely new product that has only been in commercial production for just over six months. It was invented in the UK and is made in the UK, winning the Scottish Award for Innovation in 2008.
SuperSpout is unique in that, despite having no moving parts, it combines rapid delivery of fuel with instant shut off when the receiving tank is full and it remains stopped, even after withdrawal, No more funnels, single handed use, even the visually impaired can use it.
SuperSpout just stops - and stays stopped.
This is a world launch and early indications are that there is global interest in this product, particularly with ever increasing regulation on fuel handling and spillage, such as the forthcoming USA regulations. which will require vapour recovery and that no fuel is spilt or splashed on operators.
